1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Osero.gg, operated by Osero.gg ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

- Play games fairly and honestly
- Follow the rules of Othello and any mode-specific rules
- Report violations or suspicious behavior through appropriate channels
- Comply with any additional guidelines or policies we may publish
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
5.1 Cheating and Unfair Play
- Using AI, bots, or computer programs to assist with gameplay in any environment
- Receiving real-time assistance from other players or external sources during games
- Manipulating game results through collusion, sandbagging, or intentional losing
- Exploiting bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the Service
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, manipulate rankings, or gain unfair advantages
5.2 Harassment and Abuse
- Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users
- Using offensive, discriminatory, or hateful language
- Engaging in bullying or targeted harassment
- Impersonating other users or Osero.gg staff
- Sharing personal information about others without consent
5.3 Technical Violations
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service or servers
- Using automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service
- Circumventing security measures or access controls
5.4 Content Violations
- Posting spam, advertisements, or promotional content without permission
- Uploading malicious files or links
- Sharing illegal, obscene, or inappropriate content
- Infringing on intellectual property rights of others
6. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of these Terms and to take appropriate action, including but not limited to:
- Issuing warnings to your account
- Temporarily suspending your account
- Permanently banning your account
- Removing or modifying content you have submitted
- Revoking achievements, rankings, or rewards obtained through violations
- Reporting illegal activities to law enforcement
We may take these actions at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice, and without liability to you. We are not obligated to provide evidence or detailed explanations for enforcement decisions, though we may choose to do so.
If your account is terminated, you may lose access to your account data, game history, achievements, and any purchased subscriptions. Refunds are not guaranteed for accounts terminated due to Terms violations.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@osero.gg. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
7.1 Subscription Plans
We offer subscription plans that provide access to premium features. Subscription details, pricing, and features are described on our website and may change from time to time.
7.2 Billing
By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel (see Section 7.3 below for how to cancel). All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your complete payment card information.
7.3 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your membership settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access to premium features until then.
Refunds may be granted at our discretion on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@osero.gg for refund requests.
7.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide advance notice of price changes, and new prices will apply to the next billing cycle after the notice period.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Content
The Service, including its design, features, content, graphics, tutorials, puzzles, and software, is owned by Osero.gg and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
8.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create or upload to the Service (such as game records and profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service.
8.3 Game Records
Game records created on the Service are publicly visible and may be used for educational, analytical, or promotional purposes. By playing on the Service, you consent to this use of your game records.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Defects will be corrected in a timely manner
- The Service is free of viruses or harmful components
- The results of using the Service will meet your expectations
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OSERO.GG AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Osero.gg and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Any content you submit to the Service
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting support@osero.gg. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 60 days.
12.2 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12.3 Jurisdiction
Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
13. General Provisions
13.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Osero.gg regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
13.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
13.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
13.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
